Where will redstring launch?
Montréal first. We plan to expand to other cities later. Join the waitlist for the Montréal launch email, or contact us to suggest your city.
What does joining the waitlist mean?
We’ll keep your details to manage the waitlist and email you about launch. It doesn’t create an app account or dating profile, and it doesn’t sign you up for text messages. You must be at least 18.
How is my match chosen?
You answer questions about yourself, your interests and what you’re looking for. Our AI creates your bio from those answers, and we find a curated match based on your interests. You meet one person at a time.
What will my match see before the reveal?
Your bio, age, height and an app-assigned alias. Your real name and photo stay private until the reveal conditions are met and you both agree.
Can we chat right away?
Yes. Chat opens when you’re matched, with an AI icebreaker to help you get started. You can send text and voice notes. There’s no second questionnaire or approval step.
Are the conversation games optional?
Always. Try AI-suggested trivia, question games or would you rather when you feel like it. You can also simply talk.
Do photos appear automatically after 24 hours?
No. At least 24 hours of chat must pass and the message-count conversation bar must be full. You then receive a daily reveal invitation. Photos and real names appear only if you both accept the same day’s invitation.
What if I want more time to talk?
Choose to keep talking. Your photos and real names stay private unless you both agree to reveal. You’ll receive another invitation the next day.
What happens if we want to meet?
24 hours after your photos are revealed, we ask you both about a date. Two yeses start a conversation with our AI about your preferences. It suggests restaurants or activities in chat using your shared interests, food preferences and ratings.
How do I leave the waitlist?
